Frequently Asked Questions

Is it ok that my child has never skated before?

Yes! This is a learn to play hockey program but it is also a learn to skate program. Children will be broken up into groups according to their skill level.

Can my child attend the program even if they don't want to play hockey?

Yes! While we do want to encourage kids to continue on to play hockey they can also continue on to other avenues of skating. We want to provide a positive start to their skating journey.

Can I get on the ice to skate with my child if he/she is nervous about skating?

Yes! One of our goals of this program is to create an atmosphere where the kids feel comfortable, have fun and want to come back to skate again. You are welcome to accompany your child on the ice the first few times if that's what they need to feel comfortable. We ask that you wear skates, no shoes are allowed on the ice.
